Charlotte Massie
Born in 2002, Charlotte Massie grew up amid the enchanting landscapes of the Laurentides region, where vast forests, snow-covered mountains, and misty rivers awakened her fertile imagination from an early age. Always passionate about storytelling, she began writing at a very young age, but it was at sixteen that she committed more seriously to the craft. A lover of tea, music, drawing, cats, and fashion, Charlotte draws inspiration from the visual worlds around her, as well as from the films she grew up with, such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Sleeping Beauty, and others. Earning a bachelor’s degree in literature from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) further enriched her reflections on fiction, which she approaches with a strong interest in history and Greco-Roman mythology, Gothic literature and speculative fiction.
Her first novel, The Prince of Death – Volume 1: The Shadow of the Moon, published by Éditions du Bouclier, explores a dark and romantic high fantasy universe. True to her distinctive voice, Charlotte Massie weaves intoxicating atmospheres, intense emotions, and plots infused with both shadow and light.
